Case Study 3 - Combining SEO and advertising |

mondaytofridayCombining optimisation and advertising delivered rapid results for mondaytofriday - a service linking landlords and lodgers wanting somewhere to stay for the working week. With a new website and little traffic, mondaytofriday approached Branch Out Internet Marketing for help. Judy Niner of mondaytofriday explained that she wanted to get more visitors from search engines and she would like to see results quickly. Together we agreed to combine search engine optimisation (SEO) with a limited pay-per-click advertising campaign - the SEO would take a few months to take effect and the advertising would begin bringing traffic immediately. mondaytofriday's website was fundamentally search engine friendly but it needed some changes to improve its rankings. Branch Out Internet Marketing began with a keyword analysis to find out which words and phrases people search for when they are looking for weekday lodgings. With an agreed list of keywords, we then worked with Judy's website designers to weave these words and phrases into the website. Once this was done, Branch Out made sure that mondaytofriday was registered with the key directories and search engines. Combining the optimisation work with a pay-per-click advertising campaign has generated excellent results for mondaytofriday. Traffic volumes more than doubled and the website showed an impressive conversion rate, in terms of converting visitors into customers. After just 3 months, many of the target keywords were achieving top rankings on both Google and Yahoo. |
